GLOBAL WARMING

                  CURIOUS CASE OF CARBONDIOXIDE (CO2)
During the recent financial crisis the global emission of CO2 gas decreased by 1.3% in 2009 v/s a steady rise of 3.4% every year between 2000 & 2008. However, it is expected that CO2 emission would grow by more than 3% in 2010 as per the study led by Pierre Friedlingstein, a Mathematician ta the University of Exeter in the UK.
A study on the recent emission data of major countries shows a realistic picture of their economic performance as below:
Japan- 11.8% cut in 2009
UK- 8.6%
Russia- 8.4%
Germany- 7%
US- 6.9%
On the other hand, there was an increase in CO2 emission in the developing countries as below:
China- 8% rise
India- 6.2%
South Korea- 1.4%
All the countries need to understand the need for green growth.
